03913, Heinkel He177 A-5 ‘Greif’
Delivered from March 1942 onwards the He 177 A-5 was the only four-engine bomber in the German Luftwaffe during WWII. There were often overheating problems related to the paired arrangement of its engines, resulting in aircraft often being grounded due to engine fires. The A-5 was also famous for being the launch platform for the anti-ship ‘Fritz X’ guided glide bomb. Revell’s highly detailed kit features full cockpit, under-cockpit machine-gun gondola, periscope turret, rotating upper twin-machine gun turret, quad machine- gun tail turret, undercarriage, bomb bay, 2x SC 500 bombs and 3x Fritz X guided glide bombs.
