Western air forces immediately swung into action to start what is now referred to as the Berlin Airlift. Lasting from June 1948 to May 1949 these aircraft, many of them C-54D Skymaster transports, delivered around 2.1 million tonnes of essential food, fuel and other supplies to keep the city alive. Revell’s highly detailed model features full cockpit, cargo bay, undercarriage, engines, propellers and moveable control surfaces.
