USS Forrestal is widely regarded as the world’s first ‘Super Carrier’. Commissioned into the US Navy in 1955, she took part in numerous military conflicts over nearly 40 years of service before being decommissioned in 1993. Revell’s highly detailed model features a one-piece hull and deck, island, movable lifts, Phalanx defence systems, Sea Sparrow launch systems and many smaller details. Aircraft including S-3A, F-18, F-14, A-6E, EA-6B and SH-3 Sea King helicopters are also included, as is a two-piece display stand.
