After pulling out of the Eurofighter Typhoon development program, France turned to Dassault to create their next generation multirole fighter, culminating in the twin-engined, canard delta Rafale, with the ‘C ‘Chasseur (Hunter) variant being the principle land-based single-seat variant. Prototypes first flew in 1991. Revell’s highly detailed model features a complete cockpit with multi-part ejection seat, the canopy can be positioned opened or closed, detailed undercarriage, weapons including SCALP-EG (Storm Shadow) cruise missile, GBU-12 laser-guided bombs, MICA-IR and EM air-to-air missiles and external fuel tanks.
